About THE APPLE FAIR

A FRUITFUL STORY

The Apple Fair’s story begins back in the fruitful 1880s, when the Ocean Grove Primary School grounds were home to a thriving apple orchard. The trees grew, the students grew, and eventually so did the tradition.

The pips of our very first Apple Fair 28 years ago are now well into their forties, living proof of a community event that’s been passed down through the generations.

Today, the Apple Fair is fully run by the Apple Fair Committee, a crew of OGPS parents and families who hustle hard to make the magic happen. From reusable cups and plates to rides, games, raffles and entertainment, every detail is organised by these legends. And of course, none of it would be possible without the generous support of our sponsors.

Fast forward to 2026, and this year’s crop of students are excited to carry on the tradition. It’s the biggest event on the school calendar, and they’re peeling great and ready to rock.

Our sPONSORS

Thank You to Our Sponsors

A heartfelt thank you to the generous businesses and families who support the Apple Fair. Your contributions help us turn a day of fun into lasting projects that benefit the entire school community. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Partner with us in 2026

The Apple Fair runs on community support, and we’re always looking for new partners. If you’d like to sponsor the 2026 Fair, we’d love to hear from you. Big or small, every contribution helps us create an unforgettable day and invest in our kids’ future.

Our Mission

The Apple Fair is about more than rides, twisty potatoes and fairy floss (though we love those too). Our mission is to bring the Ocean Grove community together for a day of fun that creates lasting impact for our kids.

Every ticket, every raffle, every bake sale slice and every silent auction win helps fund projects that enrich our school, from new playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces to wellbeing and mental health programs.

For the 2026 Apple Fair, we are placing a strong focus on student wellbeing, and we are excited to announce that our first green-lit project is RESILIENCE PROJECTS - the School Wellbeing Program, based on the evidence-based principles of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness (GEM) and Emotional Literacy.

This program equips students with lifelong wellbeing habits, builds educator resilience and empowers families to support wellbeing at home. We are proud to help bring it to OGPS using funds raised from the fair.
